Main objective:
Contribute to universal and sustainable access to sanitation and hygiene services for communities and institutions in the communes of Djiratawa and Kantché.
Specific objectives:
PACE is responsible for:
- Create an attractive, profitable, and sustainable sanitation market at the municipal level, enabling households to build or reinforce their latrines and the municipality to regain and maintain its ODF status.
- Provide technical assistance for the creation of a sanitation market for four neighboring municipalities (Safo, Sarkin, Yamma, and Gabi) in the Madarounfa department.
- Expected results at the end of the project:
A total of 4 products are expected at the end of this project:
- Output 1: Preparation of an attractive, accessible, structured, and sustainable sanitation market.
- Output 2: Acquisition and use of sustainable market-based products by households.
- Output 3: Promotion of community demand, facilitation of product accessibility, and restoration of ODF status by the municipality and local stakeholders.
- Output 4: Provision of technical assistance to CSOs implementing the CLTS-marketing program for the creation and development of a sanitation market in the four neighboring municipalities.
