The Pan African Consortium of Experts (PACE) held a strategic meeting with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. The meeting was attended by Ms. Marie Gloriose Ingabire, Regional Director for West and Central Africa.
IDRC has been working for several decades to promote research and innovation in Senegal and Low- and Middle-Income Countries with the ambition of transforming knowledge into levers for sustainable change.
This vision aligns naturally with PACE’s commitment to translate scientific evidence into actionable insights to inform and public policies and strengthen their impact on communities.
We particularly addressed the mobilization and valorization of existing evidence, mechanisms to improve their adoption by decision-makers, the essential question of the representativeness of citizen voices in decision-making processes.
This meeting confirms the need to build bridges between research, public policies, and communities in order to ensure that the research produced becomes a pillar for social transformation.
PACE remains committed to developing an environment in which evidence-based policy-making thrives.
